National Diaper Need Awareness Week is a time when we come together as a community to shed light on a crucial issue affecting families – diaper need. Many families struggle to provide clean diapers for their infants and toddlers, leading to serious health and well-being concerns.
Why does it matter?
Diaper need is a silent crisis affecting families across Colorado. Without enough clean diapers, babies and toddlers are at risk of diaper rash, infections, and other health issues. Many low-income families struggle to provide this basic necessity, forcing them to choose between buying diapers and paying for food, utilities, or other essentials. Additionally, most childcare providers require parents to supply diapers, which means parents without access to diapers may miss out on work or educational opportunities.
By raising awareness during Diaper Need Awareness Week, we can help ensure that all babies have the resources they need to stay clean, dry, and healthy. This week provides an opportunity to shine a light on the issue, inspire action, and support families in need.
